Straight out of Tel Aviv, Israel, rock jockies FryDay present a heavier than heavy electric sound, echoing hard rock agenda and prog-metal transitional structure. Translucent guitar work glides seamlessly between delicate brightness to Earth-shattering distortion, all the while accompanying pounding drums and a driving bass line. Singer Shy Polka encompasses the ferocity of the soft-loud-soft vocal dynamic, made popular by greats like Kurt Cobain and Maynard James Keenan, singing in a controlled faux-serenity throughout the verse before exploding like a frozen hydrogen bomb into the chorus. All in all, this band has every intention of crushing your rock n’ roll soul – one way or another.
Fryday was originally founded in 2006, and released a demo in 2012.
